Peace River Center was founded in the late 1940s in response to the community’s concern for the emotional and psychological well-being of children (peacerivercenter.org) . Over time they expanded their services to include adults. In 1973 there was a significant growth due to the Bakers Acts. In 2013 they added a primary care Wellness Clinic and in 2018 the center in Lakeland opened.

If you need assistance they have a form that you can fill out to get an appointment. They have a flyer with all the steps you need to take before and on the day of your appointment. You can call or make a video appointment as well.
